Terms and Conditions of Membership

These terms govern your use of Valor Romance, the premium military dating site operated for service members, veterans, and the women who admire them. By creating an account, you agree to the rules below.

Acceptance of These Terms

By registering for an account on Valor Romance - or by browsing, messaging, or otherwise using any feature of the platform - you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. This agreement is a binding contract between you and Valor Romance. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or continue using the service. We may update these terms from time to time, and we will notify members of material changes by email and through an in-app notice at least fourteen days before the new terms take effect.

Eligibility and Age Requirements

Valor Romance is intended for adults seeking serious romantic relationships. To register, you must be at least eighteen (18) years old, legally able to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence, and not barred from using online dating services under any applicable law. Members based outside the United States may use the service where it is lawful to do so, but our primary community and support coverage is U.S.-based.

Member Account Responsibilities

Every member shares responsibility for keeping Valor Romance a trustworthy, respectful space for genuine connections.

Accurate Profile

Use your real name, current photos, and truthful information about age, location, branch, and relationship intent.

Credential Security

Keep your password private, enable two-factor authentication, and notify support immediately of any unauthorized access.

Respectful Conduct

Treat every member with the courtesy you would expect on a first date. Honor, not harassment, is the standard here.

Lawful Use

Use the platform only for personal, non-commercial relationship purposes consistent with U.S. law and your local jurisdiction.

Prohibited Conduct on the Platform

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund. We work closely with members, moderators, and - when appropriate - law enforcement to enforce these rules. For deeper context on common red flags, see our safety tips page.

  • Romance scams, advance-fee fraud, or any request for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or wire transfers from another member.
  • Impersonating a service member, veteran, officer, or any other person you are not.
  • Harassment, threats, stalking, doxxing, or any form of hate speech directed at members, moderators, or staff.
  • Soliciting commercial services, escort work, prostitution, or any sexually explicit content involving minors.
  • Posting deepfakes, AI-generated faces, stolen photos, or any image that misrepresents identity.
  • Using the platform for multi-level marketing, recruiting, political campaigning, or other commercial purposes.
  • Scraping, reverse-engineering, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to Valor Romance systems or member data.

Membership and Billing Terms

Free Membership

Creating a profile, completing verification, browsing members, sending likes, and receiving messages are free forever. A free account is not time-limited and does not require a credit card.

Premium Membership

Premium unlocks unlimited initiated messaging, advanced filters, read receipts, and priority visibility. Premium is offered as one-month, three-month, six-month, and twelve-month plans. Pricing is displayed in U.S. dollars on the upgrade page before checkout and includes any applicable taxes.

Automatic Renewal

Premium plans renew automatically at the end of each term at the then-current rate, unless you cancel at least twenty-four hours before the renewal date. You may cancel anytime from Account Settings → Billing; cancellation stops future charges and your premium access continues through the end of the current paid term.

Refunds

New members are eligible for a full refund within fourteen (14) days of the initial premium charge if they have not initiated more than five premium messages. After fourteen days, charges are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Active-duty members who deploy mid-term may request a deployment pause at no cost by emailing support.

Intellectual Property and Content Rights

The Valor Romance name, logo, star motif, design system, software, written content, and curated photography are the exclusive intellectual property of Valor Romance and its licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from any portion of the platform without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of the photos, biographies, and messages you upload. By posting content to the platform, you grant Valor Romance a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the service, providing matches, and ensuring safety. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where we are required to retain records for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

Disclaimers Regarding Matches and Outcomes

Valor Romance is an introduction platform. We provide verified profiles, intelligent matching, and safe-messaging tools - but we do not guarantee that you will meet, date, or marry any particular person. Relationships are built by people, not algorithms. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

While we verify members and moderate content, we cannot independently confirm every claim a member makes about themselves. Always use the safety practices outlined on our safety tips page before sharing personal information or meeting in person.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Valor Romance, its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages - including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses - arising from your access to or use of the platform, your interactions with other members, or any content posted on the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Valor Romance during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to your use of Valor Romance shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You and Valor Romance each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action, except where prohibited by law.
